Coronavirus: Active cases in Armenia drop below 8,000![]() August 4, 2020 - 11:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Armenia grew by 196 to reach 39,298 on Tuesday, August 4 morning, according to information provided by the Health Ministry. Active cases, meanwhile, have now dropped below 8000, for the first time since July 3. Fresh figures also revealed that 511 more people have recovered, while six patients have died from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. 168,164 tests have been performed since the beginning of the outbreak in the country, the National Center For Disease Control and Prevention said. So far, 30,372 people have recovered, 768 have died from the coronavirus in the country, while 228 others carrying the virus have died from other causes. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
