Sarkissian unveils old and new names for Ministers' posts

PanARMENIAN.Net - President Armen Sarkissian on Tuesday, August 3 appointed Mher Grigoryan in the post of the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia.

Sarkissian also reappointed Anahit Avanesyan, Andranik Piloyan, Vahram Dumanyan and Vahan Kerobyan as the Minister of Health, the Minister of Emergency Situations, the Minister Education, Science, Culture and Sport, and the Minister of Economy, respectively.

The President named former Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan as Justice Minister, and former Economy Minister Tigran Khachatryan as Minister of Finance.

According to the President's office, Sarkissian has yet to receive a proposal for the post of the country's Foreign Minister, which has been vacant since Ara Aivazian's resignation in late May.

Sarkissian signed decrees on Monday, August 3 to appoint Suren Papikyan and Arshak Karapetyan as Armenia's new Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, respectively. Also Monday, Pashinyan was named the country's Prime Minister.
