Armenia, India "should make efforts to boost defense cooperation"

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia and India should make efforts to take cooperation in the defense field to a new level, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said in a joint press conference with his Indian counterpart S. Jaishankar in Yerevan on Wednesday, October 13, the Armenian Service of RFE/RL reports.

Mirzoyan and Jaishankar held a meeting earlier on Wednesday. The Indian diplomat will also meet with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan.

No details on the agenda of the meetings were provided, with Indian media writing ahead of the visit that the Foreign Ministers will discuss the progress of bilateral relations with Armenia and regional developments in Yerevan.
