Pashinyan calls for probing troops' captivity![]() November 17, 2021 - 18:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan believes it's time to properly investigate each case of captivity to determine those that could constitute a crime. Pashinyan told lawmakers on Wednesday, November 17 that military regulations clearly define which cases don't amount to a crime such as when the soldier is injured or unconscious․ "In such cases, there can be no complaints, of course," Pashinyan said, adding that every person serving in the Armed Forces has responsibilities. The Prime Minister also denied accusations that the army have been ordered to refrain from opening fire. In clashes launched by Azerbaijan on Tuesday, the Armenian side has confirmed the death of 1 serviceman, while 13 others have been captured by Azerbaijan. Two combat positions too have gone under the control of Azeri forces, 24 Armenian troops have gone missing. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
