Armenia to be home to 200-MW solar parkNovember 26, 2021 - 15:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A 200-MW solar park will be built in Armenia, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan said on Facebook Friday, November 26. Sanosyan revealed that a government support agreement has been signed between Armenia and Masdar, a UAE-government owned renewable energy company. The Minister reminded that Masdar won the competition with a final bid of USD 0.0290 per kWh. In 2019, Masdar and the Armenian National Interest Fund CJSC (ANIF) entered a joint development agreement to add 400 MW of solar PV capacity in Armenia, half of which will come from the above-mentioned project. According to Masdar, talks are ongoing for the development of the other 200-MW portion.
