Armenia briefs Russia on Azerbaijan's ceasefire violations![]() March 11, 2022 - 15:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Thursday, March 10 met with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov and briefed him on the situation resulting from the continuous ceasefire violations and provocative actions of the Azerbaijani armed forces in Nagorno-Karabakh and on the Armenia-Azerbaijan bordering area. During a meeting on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Mirzoyan stressed the importance of undertaking the necessary steps towards reducing tensions and preventing further incidents. According to a press release from the Armenian side, the two weighed in on the implementation of the agreements reached through the Trilateral Statements of November 9, 2020, January 11, 2021 and November 26, 2021. "The full resumption of peaceful negotiations on the comprehensive and lasting settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict under the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs was emphasized," the Armenian Foreign Ministry said. Mirzoyan and Lavrov also discussed the "rich agenda" of Armenian-Russian cooperation, as well as issues related to the further strengthening of the allied relations.
