RUSSIAN PARLIAMENT RATIFIED AGREEMENT ON ROUGH DIAMOND SUPPLIES TO ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian State Duma has ratified the intergovernmental agreement on supplies of natural diamonds from Russia to Armenia in 2002-2006. "ALROSA" company is annually expected to supply 400-450 thousand carats rough diamonds to Armenian enterprises for jewelry purposes and 400-800 thousand carats a year for technical purposes from Yakutia reserves. Let us remind that in accordance with the intergovernmental agreement, in 1999-2001 Armenia received 578.9 thousand carats of natural diamonds for the sum of $15 million to fulfill its own needs.
