"The principles underlying the talks may be threatening. Talks with Turkey have been going on for 2 years. At that, the Armenian public is absolutely unaware of the process details. Moreover, the National Assembly is not informed," Larisa Alaverdyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. Asked whether the road-map implies recognition of borders, she said, "When we speak of opening of the border and establishment of relations, we should know what borders we mean. None of Armenian governments has ever signed an agreement recognizing the borders of former USSR. Now, Armenians have reason to worry, the more so if we remember Nakhijevan that was annexed by Azerbaijan." "The problem is not the roadmap itself but the principles which form the basis of talks," she said. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
