Moscow: Dates of sending CSTO mission to Armenian-Azeri border depends on Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - The timing of sending a CSTO mission to the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia depends on Yerevan, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, told a briefing on Wednesday, April 5.

According to the diplomat, Russia is convinced that such a step will help stabilize the situation in the region, Moscow and its allies are ready for it, Tass reports.

"Such decisions are agreed and approved in the CSTO, approved at the highest level by the decision of the Collective Security Council. As for the timing, it seems to me that everything is clear here too, everything depends on the Armenian colleagues. As soon as they are ready, we will be able to return to substantive work to consolidate the specific modalities of the organization's observation mission. So the ball is in Yerevan's court," Zakharova said.

She also noted that Russia is satisfied with the continued interest of Yerevan to receive representatives of the CSTO.
