Aliyev: Karabakh Parliament must be dissolved, person calling themselves President must surrender

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev also made new threats against the people of Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh).

“Everyone is well aware that today we are capable of conducting any operation in this region (Artsakh - Ed.)," Aliyev said during a recent trip to Lachin, according to Interfax.az.

"Therefore, the Parliament must be dissolved, the element that calls themselves President must surrender, all ministers, deputies and others must leave their posts. Only in this case can we talk about any kind of amnesty."

Aliyev said the "dream" of the people of Nagorno Karabakh for independence followed status. We have already sent the status to the right place during the Second Karabakh War.”

According to Aliyev, the Karabakh Armenians have only "one option" - "to submit to the laws of Azerbaijan, be a loyal and normal citizen of Azerbaijan, throw away their fake state attributes and dissolve the parliament."

In late April, Azerbaijani authorities set up a checkpoint on the only road connecting Karabakh with Armenia. Baku also maintained that they have informed the command of the Russian peacekeepers about the installation of the checkpoint.
