ATM accepting drams to be set in Armenia till yearend

PanARMENIAN.Net - Automatic teller machines accepting Armenian drams will be set in Armenia in autumn.



"Pilot projects were launched in 2008," Armenian Card executive director Shahen Hovhanesyan said during the third Banking Summit - Armenia 2009.



"Earlier, the ATMs accepted foreign currency only. Now, Armenian drams will also be accepted, although it's not an easy process," he said. "With the assistance of the Central bank of Armenia, some 15 ATMs will be set till the end of the current year. Then their number will increase gradually," he said.
