Russia sends note of protest to Armenia over envoy’s trip to Ukraine’s Bucha

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia has sent a note of protest to Armenia over the visit of Armenian Ambassador Vladimir Karapetyan and the head of the Yerevan administrative district of Nor-Nork, Tigran Ter-Margaryan, to Bucha, Ukraine, orepresentative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova has told News.ru.

According to the Russian diplomat, Moscow regards the visit of Armenian representatives to the Ukrainian city,”unacceptable” statements addressed to Russia and the provision of humanitarian aid to Kyiv as an “unfriendly step”.

“We are concerned about their transfer of assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the unacceptable statements made there against Russia. We sent a note of protest to the Armenian Foreign Ministry," Zakharova said.

Zakharova charged that it was “regrettable” that the Armenian authorities align themselves with such statements. As previously reported on Bucha’s official page on social networks, Ter-Margaryan and Karapetyan held a meeting with the mayor of the city. The possibilities of cooperation between the Ukrainian city and the administrative region of Yerevan were discussed.

During the visit, the Armenian delegation donated medicines to medical institutions in Ukraine.
