Henrikh Mkhitaryan: Doors to Armenia squad closed for me

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former captain of the national football team, Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has said doors to the national squad are closed for him.

“Everything has a beginning and an end,” Mkhitaryan said in an interview with Artak Aleksanyan as part of the Newmag / Summerfest-2024 festival in response to the question of whether he considers the matter of returning to the national team closed.

“It’s better to put an end to it one step earlier than two steps later. It is better that you make this decision yourself, and not someone else. In this case, I can say the following: I do not regret the decisions that I made both in my football career and beyond.

“I'm happy with my decisions and the path I've taken. Some may say that I could have a better or worse career, but I believe that you cannot escape fate. We must come to terms with what we have, be grateful to God for everything he has given us. Unfortunately, the door to the national team is closed for me.”
