Armenia top European Youth Team Chess Championships after Round 4

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian national team top the standings at the European Youth Team Chess Championships (Under 18s) 2024 on the Greek island of Rhodes, the press service of the Armenian Chess Federation reports.

In the fourth round, Armenian chess players defeated the Israeli team – favorites throughout the tournament – with a score of 2.5:1.5. Emin Ohanyan and Robert Piliposyan won, Eric Gasparyan tied, and Arsen Davtyan lost.

On Tuesday, the Armenian team will face the Polish team – the second-ranked team at the European Youth Championship – in the fifth round.

There are nine rounds in total.
