Russia PM expected in Armenia on October 1

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will travel to Armenia on a working trip on October 1, his office reports.

The Russian Prime Minister will take part in the 40th meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIGC) and the plenary session of the Eurasian Economic Forum, Tass reports.

Together with colleagues from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Mishustin will discuss "current tasks of deepening integration within the Eurasian Economic Union", paying special attention to "issues of the functioning of the internal market, development of cooperation in the industrial, transport, customs and tariff, agricultural and energy spheres". Representatives of the EAEU observer countries – Cuba and Uzbekistan – as well as invited guests will join the meeting of the intergovernmental council.

In addition, the prime ministers of the EAEU countries are expected to consider areas of industrial cooperation within the EAEU until 2030.

The Eurasian Economic Forum will be held for the third time. Its main theme is 10 Years of the EAEU: Prospects and Priorities.
