Earlier, Hayk Konjoryan, head of the Civil Contract faction, announced that Sirunyan had decided to withdraw his candidacy. Sirunyan’s candidacy had been nominated by the Civil Contract faction. Alexander Sirunyan’s nomination as an SJC member by the Civil Contract faction faced controversy.
