Jermuk braces to host Pan-Armenian Winter GamesJanuary 30, 2025 - 15:38 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - From February 1 to 7, Jermuk will host the second Pan-Armenian Winter Games, featuring more than 1,300 delegates from 77 cities in 19 countries, as reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports. The Games will include competitions in ice hockey, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, snowboarding, chess, snowball fights, and sports dances. The official opening ceremony is scheduled for February 1 at 6:00 PM in Jermuk. The torch for the second Pan-Armenian Winter Games was lit at Noravank, blessed by the local clergy. It was then handed to distinguished athletes, including Olympic medalist and European champion gymnast Artur Davtyan, European vice-champion and world cup holder Vahagn Davtyan, European and world youth weightlifting champion Aleksandra Grigoryan, and world and European junior champion Emma Poghosyan.
