Deputy FM: Armenia won't fall for provocations in talks![]() February 13, 2025 - 16:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - During a press briefing, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan stated that Armenia maintains a constructive stance in negotiations with Azerbaijan and remains actively engaged in the process. Speaking about the latest statements by Azerbaijan’s president, Kostanyan emphasized that such rhetoric is aimed at escalating tensions in the region, Radar.am reports. “Armenia will not fall for such provocations. We will continue to approach the negotiation process constructively,” he said. According to the deputy minister, if Armenia faces an attack, the country will defend its territorial integrity using all available means. Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that Armenia must engage in dialogue with the so-called ‘Western Azerbaijan’ community, referring to almost the entire territory of Armenia, including Yerevan. He also claimed that Yerevan and Baku have not agreed on two points in the future peace treaty: dropping legal claims against each other in international courts and the presence of third-party forces on the border. Additionally, he said Armenia must amend its Constitution and agree to the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group before signing the treaty. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
