RA MFA says Colosseum exhibition map issue fixed

The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) announced that an issue concerning a map displayed at a temporary exhibition in Rome’s Colosseum has been resolved, and Armenia has been added.

Reports circulated on social media claiming that Armenia was missing from a map displayed at the exhibition on the second floor of the Colosseum. The map in question was located at the entrance of the exhibition complex titled Göbeklitepe. L’enigma di un luogo sacro ("Göbeklitepe. The Enigma of a Sacred Place").

MFA spokesperson Ani Badalyan stated that upon learning about the issue, the Armenian Embassy in Rome immediately brought it to the attention of the relevant Italian authorities and exhibition organizers. This diplomatic effort resulted in a positive response.

"As of now, Armenia is reflected on the map," Badalyan confirmed.

The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Colosseum Archaeological Park, Turkey’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Turkish Embassy in Rome.

The exhibition will remain open until March 2.
