ANCA appoints George Aghjayan as new leader

PanARMENIAN.Net - George Aghjayan has assumed the role of chairman of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), succeeding Raffi Hambarian, who held the position for many years, according to the Armenian Revolutionary Federation’s (ARF) Central Office of the Armenian Cause.

Speaking about his new role, Aghjayan emphasized, “It is a great honor for me to take on this responsibility at such a critical time for the Armenian people. Our work is more vital than ever as we fight for the rights of Artsakh Armenians, hold Azerbaijan accountable for its crimes, and ensure Armenia’s long-term security and viability. The ANCA has always been the most effective voice of the Armenian-American community in U.S. foreign and domestic policy, and I look forward to working with our local chapters, community activists, and dedicated leadership team to expand our influence and advance our common cause.”

Raffi Hambarian, reflecting on Aghjayan’s new responsibilities, stated, “Serving as chairman of the ANCA has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Our work is not just about politics; it is about the survival and dignity of the Armenian people. George has been a lifelong advocate of the Armenian Cause, with deep dedication to our mission, and I know he will lead with unwavering determination and commitment.”
