Armenia, Iran strengthen ties on criminal justice![]() February 21, 2025 - 19:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On February 21, the Chairman of Armenia’s Investigative Committee, Artur Poghosyan, met with Iran’s Ambassador to Armenia, Mehdi Sobhan, to discuss flexible mechanisms for cooperation in combating transnational crime. These mechanisms have enabled the rapid exchange of information and an effective response to urgent legal issues. During the meeting, Poghosyan emphasized the high level of cooperation between Armenia’s Investigative Committee and the Iranian Embassy, particularly in the field of international legal collaboration. Ambassador Sobhan thanked Poghosyan for initiating the meeting and underscored the significance of the multifaceted relations between the two countries. He also highlighted the joint efforts of the Investigative Committee and the embassy in addressing various challenges. The discussion also covered the exchange of information regarding individuals involved in criminal proceedings, as well as enhancing the efficiency of investigative inquiries.
