US customs and border team has not arrived in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Rafael Gevorgyan stated that the planned visit of a US customs and border protection team to Armenia has not taken place, Armenpress reports.

"We inform you that the planned visit of the US customs and border team to Armenia has not occurred," Gevorgyan noted.

The SRC has not provided further details regarding the reasons for the visit’s cancellation.

On January 14, 2025, Armenia and the United States signed a Strategic Partnership Charter in Washington. As part of this framework, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that a US customs and border team would visit Armenia in the coming weeks to support the development of border security capabilities.
