RA NA Speaker: no reason for escalation

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan stated in a conversation with journalists that while there is a risk of escalation, there is no actual reason or justification for it.

"We must always do everything possible to ensure that there is neither a reason nor an opportunity for such escalation," Simonyan said, quoted by Armenpress.

He emphasized that Armenia has never had territorial claims and strictly adheres to its commitments and agreements.

"There is a danger of escalation, but I believe there is no actual cause or reason for it, and there should not be," he added.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also addressed the issue in a recent article, stating that Azerbaijan often manipulates and escalates regional communication matters.
