Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed support for the energy truce but emphasized that Russia “is not yet prepared to end the war.” In his initial response to the call, he stated, "Putin wants to make several offensives... to put maximum pressure on Ukraine and then issue ultimatums from a position of strength." During the 90-minute call, Putin outlined several conditions for a broader ceasefire, including the cessation of foreign military aid and intelligence support to Kyiv. The Kremlin emphasized that any settlement should "eliminate the root causes of the crisis." The White House announced that new peace talks between Ukraine and Russia will commence immediately in the Middle East. Photo.
