He explained that the SRC develops an annual audit program based on risk assessment, ensuring that all inspections are targeted and necessary. Hakobyan dismissed claims that the government is using these audits to compensate for a budget shortfall, emphasizing that the process is purely risk-based, Sputnik Armenia reports. "We are not squeezing businesses," Hakobyan said. "We treat all entrepreneurs as members of our own family—literally. Our goal is to make our system and services as people-centered as possible. Rest assured, this approach remains fundamental to our work." Recently, media reports indicated that large-scale tax inspections have been conducted at companies owned by prominent businessman Samvel Aleksanyan. An employee of the Alex company told Hraparak that tax inspectors have been staying at the company for extended periods, reviewing documents and production processes.
