Armen Grigoryan: Armenia ready to defend its territory

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of Armenia's Security Council, announced during a briefing that the Armenian leadership is ready to sign the peace agreement and initiate technical discussions to finalize the date, time, and other specifics for its signing.

He assured that the Ministry of Defense is prepared to defend the country's territory against any attack, as reported by Panorama.am .

"Naturally, the Ministry of Defense will defend Armenia; there is no threat in that regard. If attacked, they will defend the territory of the Republic of Armenia," Grigoryan stated, also addressing Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's directive to avoid ceasefire violations.

Earlier, Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page: "The draft peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan has been agreed upon and is awaiting signing. My directive to the Ministry of Defense is clear: Do not violate the ceasefire regime. Armenia is pursuing peace, not war."

Regarding the signing process of the peace agreement, Grigoryan added that a decision on the date and venue has not yet been made. However, once these details are clarified, the text of the agreement will also be published.

Since March 16, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense has been disseminating disinformation several times a day about alleged gunfire from the Armenian side. Armenia's Ministry of Defense consistently refutes these statements. The EU monitoring mission has also denied Baku's misinformation.
