3.7 magnitude earthquake recorded 8 km from Spitak![]() March 21, 2025 - 11:55 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A 3.7 magnitude earthquake occurred 8 km north of Spitak city at a depth of 10 km, recorded by the Seismological Network of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia. The tremor took place on March 21 at 05:03 local time (01:03 GMT). The intensity of the underground shock in the epicentral zone was measured at 5 points on the Richter scale. The earthquake was felt with varying intensities in several regions: 4 points in Lori, 3-4 points in Shirak, and 2-3 points in Aragatsotn. The seismic activity was recorded at a geographical coordinate of 40.90⁰ north latitude and 44.27⁰ east longitude. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
