Yerevan to host international conference on radiation risks

PanARMENIAN.Net - An international scientific conference titled “Risks of Low-Dose Radiation: Current Research and Future Perspectives” will begin on March 31 at the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.

The conference aims to bring together experts in the field to develop effective strategies for assessing, preventing, and mitigating risks caused by radiation exposure, based on scientific evidence. These efforts are expected to support the advancement of radiation protection systems.

Topics on the agenda include the biological impact of low-dose radiation, radioecological concerns, the role of ecotoxicology and biomarkers in risk assessment, modern methods of radiation protection, and potential directions for collaboration between regulatory bodies and scientific institutions.

Leading researchers from the United States, Germany, Poland, Canada, Armenia, Japan, the United Kingdom, Norway, Ukraine, and France will deliver presentations at the event.

The conference will continue through April 2 and will be conducted in English.
