Trump warns Iran of bombing if no nuclear deal reached![]() March 31, 2025 - 15:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - U.S. President Donald Trump has declared that if Washington and Tehran fail to reach a nuclear agreement, the United States will launch strikes against Iran. “If they don’t make a deal, there will be bombing. The kind of bombing they’ve never seen before,” Trump said in an interview with NBC News. This ultimatum follows Iran’s official written response, delivered via Oman, to Trump’s proposal for renewed nuclear talks. According to Axios.com , Trump’s letter, sent three weeks ago, gave Iran a two-month deadline to agree to a new nuclear deal or face potential military action. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Iran will not engage in direct negotiations with the United States under the current conditions of maximum pressure and military threats. However, he emphasized that indirect negotiations through Omani mediation remain possible. Pezeshkian also noted that it is the U.S.’s responsibility to rebuild trust after unilaterally withdrawing from the 2015 nuclear agreement. The U.S. military has deployed bombers to the Diego Garcia base in the Indian Ocean. A U.S. official stated that this deployment is “not related” to the two-month deadline set by Trump. B-2 bombers stationed there are capable of carrying powerful bunker-busting bombs, potentially critical in strikes against Iran’s underground nuclear facilities. “We are not avoiding negotiations. The option for indirect talks remains. They need to prove they can build trust,” Pezeshkian told CNN. The White House has yet to respond to Iran’s statement. Tensions in the region have escalated in recent years, manifesting in maritime and land-based attacks. During the ongoing Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, Israel has targeted leaders of armed groups within the Iran-aligned 'Axis of Resistance.' Meanwhile, the U.S. continues intensive airstrikes in Yemen against Iran-backed Houthis, keeping the option open for military action against Iran’s nuclear sites. Photo.
