Russia has expressed its readiness to deepen cooperation with Armenia, confirming support for any initiatives proposed by the Armenian side. This was announced by Mikhail Shvydkoy, Russian President’s special envoy for international cultural cooperation, speaking to journalists in Yerevan.

He emphasized that this openness applies not only to culture but also to various potential areas of collaboration. “This applies not only to culture. We are open to cooperation,” added Shvydkoy.

“Tomorrow and the day after, I will meet with various heads of different departments — the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, the government... We are ready for everything that the Armenian side is ready for. That, perhaps, is our answer. Everything the Armenian side is ready for, we are ready for,” said Shvydkoy.

He also noted that particular attention would be given to the development of joint projects in film, theater, performing arts, and art education.
