A magnitude 3.3 earthquake struck Azerbaijan shortly after midnight on April 8, local time. According to the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, the quake occurred at 00:35 local time (20:35 GMT on April 7) at a depth of 10 kilometers. The seismic activity was also felt across some areas in Armenia.
In the epicenter, the quake's intensity reached 4 to 5 points. In Armenia's Gegharkunik Province, it was mildly felt in the town of Vardenis, as well as in the villages of Sotk and Kut, registering an intensity of 2 to 3 points.
The tremor’s coordinates were 40.13°N latitude and 46.56°E longitude.
