Search operations were launched after it was suspected that Adir had fallen into the river while attempting to illegally cross the border between Armenia and Turkey. Diving teams from the gendarmerie command in Van province participated in the operation, reports Factor.am . Eventually, the young man's body was found in the river. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing. Earlier, Turkish media reported that four men had attempted to cross the Armenia-Turkey border illegally in Iğdır. One of them, 28-year-old Ismayil Adir, went missing during the attempt.
