The U.S. Embassy has issued a statement warning that those considering entering the United States illegally are putting their safety—and even their lives—at serious risk.
The statement highlights that criminal groups, cartels, and human traffickers specifically target undocumented migrants, subjecting them to violence, extortion, and assault.
“If you are thinking about entering the United States illegally, understand that this decision endangers your safety and potentially your life.
Criminal groups, cartels, and traffickers prey on illegal migrants, exposing them to violence, extortion, and attacks,” the embassy warned.
President Donald Trump repeatedly emphasized the need to tighten U.S. immigration policy. On January 20, after taking office, he signed an executive order declaring a state of emergency at the U.S.-Mexico border. According to New York Post sources, over 100,000 people were deported in the early stages of Trump’s administration.
