On April 17, the Deputy Foreign Ministers of Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan held their first trilateral meeting in Tbilisi. The initiative came from the Foreign Ministers of the three countries—Ararat Mirzoyan (Armenia), Maka Bochorishvili (Georgia), and Jeyhun Bayramov (Azerbaijan).

The meeting included Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Lasha Darsalia, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan, and Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov. They welcomed the launch of this format, highlighting the untapped potential for cooperation rooted in mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting aimed to advance trilateral cooperation in areas of shared interest, contributing to regional stability and prosperity. The dialogue is intended to support efforts to address common challenges and promote long-term peace and development in the South Caucasus.

Participants exchanged views and visions on potential areas of collaboration, stressing the importance of continuing this dialogue. They also noted the positive and constructive atmosphere of the meeting, viewing it as a step toward building trust and deepening engagement.

This diplomatic engagement followed discussions held on April 12 in Antalya, where the foreign ministers agreed to initiate trilateral talks at the deputy minister level.
