Turkey expects Armenia-Azerbaijan deal, ‘corridor’ opening

Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, speaking at the central headquarters of the ruling Justice and Development Party during a meeting with members of parliament from the Eastern, Southeastern, and Black Sea regions, addressed ongoing diplomatic processes in the Caucasus and Eastern Europe.

“We expect the resolution of existing problems, the signing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and the opening of transport and trade corridors,” said the Turkish foreign minister, as reported by Factor.am .

He noted that Turkey remains optimistic about efforts aimed at establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Recently, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held talks on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
