It is now difficult to speak about our heroes, says Tigran Abrahamyan, secretary of the I Have Honor parliamentary faction, in a recent Facebook post. He recalled that there was once a time when it was easy to talk about Armenia’s heroes—their paths, feats, and ideals.

"Today, it is hard to speak of them," he writes, "with a homeland squandered, a defeat imposed, and a disgraceful image of submission before the enemy."

He reflected on a period when Armenians lived with dignity and a constant sense of protection, inheriting the reality and victories from these very heroes.

Still, Abrahamyan believes history always offers a chance for change. “We must seize the historic opportunity and return achievements and victories to their rightful owners,” he concludes.
