President Samvel Shahramanyan of Artsakh met with members of the Artsakh Rights Protection Council at Freedom Square in Yerevan. Council representatives indicated they have proposals regarding the issues faced by Artsakh residents, which they plan to present to the president soon. They also announced intentions to release a public statement in the near future, as reported by http://Aysor.am .
Shahramanyan assured his full support for the initiative, noting his regular meetings and familiarity with ongoing efforts. He emphasized that the integration of Artsakh residents depends on collaboration with the government.
"I fully support your decisions, regardless of what they may be. I'm aware that the programs implemented by the Armenian government face numerous issues. I've previously expressed my stance during the planning phase of the housing project, stating from the outset that it was a flawed initiative. Artsakh residents won't benefit from it due to significant overlooked problems and circumstances," Shahramanyan stated.
He added that, if necessary, they are ready to assist in organizing work within office environments and provide representation opportunities.
The president highlighted that expectations from the council are substantial, with pressing issues being of a social and humanitarian nature.
"I'm also aware that the Armenian government proposed forming appropriate groups to carry out work. I believe this should be implemented, as our population's future integration and dignified living depend on these programs," he said.
On April 3, during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, representatives of the Artsakh Rights Protection Council were informed that the return to the "40+10" support program is not planned. Following the discussion, council members emphasized their commitment to continue advocating for the program, stating that "40+10 has no alternative."
