3.3 magnitude quake recorded near Armenia-Georgia border

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 occurred in the Armenia-Georgia border area during the night of April 29, according to the Armenian Rescue Service.

On April 29 at 03:40 local time (23:40 GMT), the Seismological Network of the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs recorded tremors 8 kilometers southeast of Bavra village, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The underground tremor intensity at the epicenter reached 4–5 on the MSK-64 scale.

The earthquake was felt in the Shirak region’s Bavra, Saragyugh, Ghazanchi, and Mets Sepasar villages, with an intensity of 3 on the MSK-64 scale.

The underground tremors were recorded at geographical coordinates of 41.10° north latitude and 43.90° east longitude.
