ACCORDING TO PREMIER ANDRANIK MARKARIAN, STORY OF IMPOSITION OF AMERICAN SANCTIONS AGAINST "LYSINE" ARMENIAN ENTERPRISE OBVIOUSLY EXAGGERATED

PanARMENIAN.Net - In his interview with "Nezavisimaya gazeta" Russian newspapers, Armenian Premier Andranik Margarian has commented the current situation as a result of US sanctions against "Lysine" Armenian enterprise that is accused of cooperation with Iran in the sphere of defense technologies. "In fact, this story is obviously exaggerated", thinks the head of the Armenian government. According to Markarian, "Americans have been interested in this problem for some time past. Their experts have studied it more than once. And every time, they make certain that their misgivings are groundless. But this issue still comes up from time to time." "Every time we explain everything again and they, in their turn, inspect the factory again and again, and agree to our arguments", noted the premier. Markarian explained that "Lysine" enterprise had produced bio-fertilizers and there had been a plant, which, after corresponding retrofitting might have been used for production of some types of biological weapons. As the Irani part had suggested the owners of the factory to buy that enterprise, the government had considered the issue and reached positive decision. At that time the above mentioned plant had been disabled".
