Prosecutors move to confiscate properties of ex-minister![]() March 2, 2026 - 11:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Prosecutor’s Office is seeking the confiscation of 35 movable and immovable assets, as well as financial resources, from Armenia’s former Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan. The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted for proceedings another lawsuit submitted by the Prosecutor General’s Office concerning the confiscation of property of alleged illicit origin. The Department for Confiscation of Property of Illicit Origin at the Prosecutor’s Office is requesting that the following assets be confiscated from Mkrtchyan and individuals affiliated with him in favor of the Republic of Armenia: 26 immovable properties. 7 vehicles. 5 participations in legal entities. 893 million 449 thousand drams as the remaining balance of illicit funds. 276 million 106 thousand drams that are not justified by the person’s lawful income, are of illicit origin, have been transferred to a bona fide acquirer, or cannot be identified and confiscated.
