Armenia gymnasts claim two World Cup medals

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s national gymnastics team won two medals at the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup, delivering strong performances in the apparatus finals.

European champion Hamlet Manukyan claimed the gold medal in the pommel horse event at the latest World Cup stage.

In the final, Manukyan scored 14.800 points to take first place, Armenpress reported.

At the World Cup stage taking place in Cairo, Egypt, Armenia had two finalists in the pommel horse event — Hamlet Manukyan and Mamikon Khachatryan — both of whom had advanced through qualification.

Mamikon Khachatryan finished fourth with 14.533 points.

In the rings final, Armenia’s Artur Avetisyan won the silver medal with a score of 14.300 points, while Artur Davtyan placed fourth with 13.833 points.
