Azerbaijan imports $960 worth of goods from Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - In the first quarter of 2026, Azerbaijan exported goods worth $5.757 million to Armenia, while imports from Armenia totaled just $960, Azerbaijani media reported, citing APA.

The data were provided by the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

It was also noted that Azerbaijan began supplying petroleum products to Armenia starting last year.

On December 19, a train consisting of 22 wagons loaded with gasoline from the SOCAR entered Armenia, followed by several additional shipments.

Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan commented on the import of Azerbaijani gasoline, stating: “As I understand, purchasing gasoline is very beneficial for Armenian citizens. I saw calls for a boycott, but I also learned there were queues for that gasoline.”

When asked why Azerbaijan supplies cheaper gasoline to Armenia, Mirzoyan replied: “Because peace has been established and cooperation should develop. Azerbaijani and Turkish cargo should also pass through our territory, and ours should pass through theirs.”
