Armenia ranks 52nd in economic freedom index

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia ranks 52nd among 176 countries in the global Economic Freedom Index of the Heritage Foundation, Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan said in a Facebook post.

Among Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries, Armenia is the leader.

By this indicator, Armenia also surpasses several European Union member states, including Spain (53rd), Romania (58th), France (65th), Italy (73rd), Greece (75th), and Hungary (79th).

“Leading countries by this indicator are Singapore, Switzerland, and Ireland.

According to 2025 data, we were ranked 57th with 65.4 points (we have improved our position by five places),” the minister wrote.
