In the final, the Armenian wrestler defeated Georgia’s Ramaz Basilia 4-0, Sputnik Armenia reported. He had also beaten Romania’s representative 6-0, Moldova’s representative 8-0, Russia’s representative 9-0, Italy’s representative 10-0, and Georgia’s representative 4-0 in the final. This is Armenia’s second gold medal at the European U17 Wrestling Championships. Vahe Hoveyan also claimed gold in the 80 kg weight category. Overall, Armenia’s national team has already secured six medals. The European Under-17 Wrestling Championships are being held in Samokov, Bulgaria, from May 11-17.
