Nearly €1 million found on Dortmund-Yerevan flight![]() June 3, 2026 - 14:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The 956,400 euros in cash recently reported by Armenia’s Investigative Committee were found in the luggage of two passengers arriving on a Dortmund–Yerevan flight, the State Revenue Committee said. According to the agency, the travelers arriving from Dortmund, Germany, initially passed through the airport’s Green Channel. Following preliminary X-ray screening, however, they were directed to the Red Channel for customs inspection, where the undeclared currency was discovered. “Two passengers who had independently chosen the Green Channel procedure were escorted by customs officers to the Red Channel inspection area after crossing the Green Channel exit line. During the customs examination, a total of 578,050 euros in cash transported into Armenia without the required declaration were found in luggage belonging to Armenian citizen M.N.,” the committee said. As part of the same inspection process, customs officers also examined the luggage of S.N., a citizen of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. “An additional 378,350 euros in cash brought into Armenia by air without the required customs declaration were discovered in that passenger’s luggage,” the statement said. The State Revenue Committee urged travelers crossing the border to familiarize themselves in advance with customs regulations and comply with all legal declaration requirements to ensure transparent and lawful customs procedures. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
