TODAY EVENING ARMENIAN PRESIDENT TO LEAVE FOR SOUTH AMERICAN COUNTRIES

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today in the evening Armenian President Robert Kocharian will leave for the countries of South America. He will visit Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. Tomorrow in the morning in Buenos Ayres the President will place a wreath at the memorial to general Jose de San Martin and this will be followed by his visit to the residence of the Argentinean President Eduardo Duhalde where he will have talks with the Argentinean President. The signing of bilateral agreements in the sphere of culture, tourism, air communication and seismic protection will follow the talks. In the course of the two-day visit Robert Kocharian will visit the Embassy of Armenia in Buenos Ayres, Armenian Church of Saint Grigor, will participate in the unveiling ceremony of the memorial plaque at the Armenian General Benevolent Union's building. May four the President will meet with the representatives of the Armenian community of Argentine at the Servantes Theater. On May five the delegation led by the President will leave for Montevideo. Robert Kocharian will place wreath at the memorial in the Uruguayan capital's «Armenia» square. The visit to Saint Nerses Shnorhali church and the National library of Montevideo is planned. The head of Armenia will meet with representatives of the Uruguay's Armenian community. On May 6 Robert Kocharian will place wreath at the memorial to General Jose Artigas in the Independence square and then he will meet with Uruguay's President Jorge Batlle . Bilateral agreements on promotion and protection of investments, on cooperation in trade, economic, agribusiness and medical sphere will be signed. In the evening of the same day the Armenian delegation will head to Brazilian city Sao Paolo where RA President will meet with the representatives of the Armenian community of Brazil. May 7 the meeting of Robert Kocharian and President of Brazil Fernando Henrique Cardoso will take place, this will by followed by the signing of bilateral agreements on cooperation in trade, economy, and cultural spheres as well as in the public health and environment protection. The Armenian President will also meet with the heads of both houses of the Brazilian parliament. May 8 the Armenian President will visit the Federation of Manufacturers of San-Paolo, where the exhibition of Armenian products will take place. May nine the Armenian delegation led by the President of the country will return to Yerevan.
