RA President should go to Turkey, former PM says

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian-Turkish relations are conditioned by geopolitical processes, said Hrant Bagratyan, former Prime Minister of Armenia.

"RA President should go to Turkey to attend the return match between the Armenian and Turkish soccer teams. It's a national issue. Otherwise Serzh Sargsyan will lose his authority in the process of normalization of relations between the two countries," he said.

At that, Mr. Bagratyan noted that Armenia should be careful, since Turkey's territory is 25 times as large as Armenia's and Turkish economic potential surpasses Armenia's 90 times.

For his part, chairman of United Labor Party Gurgen Arsenyan said that progress may be achieved if the dialog between the neighboring countries is continued.
