ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT AUTHORIZED GOVERNMENT TO SELL AKHTALIN ORE MINING AND PROCESSING ENTERPRISE TO "METAL PRINCE" ROMANIAN COMPANYApril 3, 2002 - 22:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today the National Assembly of Armenia in the first reading passed the law on privatization of Akhtalin ore mining and processing enterprise via direct sale to "Metal Prince" Romanian company. Deputy Minister of trade and Economic Development Armen Gevorgian presenting the project stressed that the program suggested by "Metal Prince" company provides for investing almost $3 million into the enterprise development, which could be attracted only if the enterprise was privatized. "Metal Prince" company has already invested about $1 million into the development of Akhtalin ore mining and processing enterprise. Now the enterprise uses the third of its potentialities and provides some 800 tons of copper concentrate monthly.
