WB REPRESENTATIVE CONSIDERS MEDIATOR COUNTRIES PROFIT FROM UNOFFICIAL BARGAINING BETWEEN ARMENIA AND AZERBAIJAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - In his interview for the Armenian public television, World Bank's permanent representative in Yerevan, Owaise Saadat has expressed his opinion that mediator countries profit from unofficial commerce between Armenia and Azerbaijan and they have considerable share of profit from present de facto commodity turnover. He has noted that because of Azerbaijan's continued transport blockade against Armenia and present taboo against trade between the two countries, the two sides annually lose almost $400 million, and added that according to the WB expert count, the opening of the borders will decrease transport costs of Armenia by 30 % and will increase the export volume of Azerbaijan by 10%.
