Developing capital market of Armenia presents interest for participants of VII Bonds Congress of CIS and Baltic States

PanARMENIAN.Net - CEO of NASDAQ OMX Armenia Exchange Armen Melikyan said that the developing capital market of Armenia presents interest for participants of VII Bonds Congress of CIS and Baltic States due July 1-2 in Yerevan.

“It is a congress of members and players at the corporative securities markets, who meet once in a year. This time Yerevan will be hosting their meeting,” Melikyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Mr. Melikyan also said that NASDAQ OMX Armenia creates all the required prerequisites for the capital market’s development, while its participants should only use the provided opportunity. The congress envisages both official and unofficial events, during which interested parties can discuss cooperation opportunities, specifically, Armenian investment companies will have the opportunity to find foreign consultants and partners.

On July 1 and 2, 2010, Russian Cbonds news agency jointly with NASDAQ OMX Armenia will organize the VII CIS and Baltic Region Bond Congress in Yerevan. The main objective of the Bonds Congress is to discuss internal bond markets development in CIS countries, as well as developing markets of Eurobonds.

According to the congress organizers, the event will bring together around 250 people from Russia, Armenia, other CIS and Baltic states, Great Britain and Europe.

The congress will be launched by a section, devoted to the financial market of Armenia. Within the framework of the section, representatives of state bodies, NASDAQ OMX Armenia Exchange, banks and investment companies of Armenia will tell about investment opportunities and prospects of the country. Special attention will be paid to the opinions of famous economists and market experts concerning the current situation of the world finances and the prospect of economic growth in CIS countries, as well as the conjuncture of the developing market of Eurobonds. Deutsche Bank Chief Economist Yaroslav Lisovolik and Head of Analytical Division of Treasury Operations and Financial Markets Department of Russian Savings Bank (Sberbank) Nikolay Kasheyev are among key speakers of the section.

The second day of the congress will be dedicated to the Russian bond market, as well as debt markets of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Baltic states.
